I’ve seen this quote many a time, in varying formats: “Plans succeed through good council; don’t go to war without wise advice.”–Proverbs 20:18, NLT, the Bible.
There’s a variation in Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, which was brought up in a conversation I was having today. It says something like, “The general who plans much wins. The general who does not plan gets eaten.” … Something like that, anyway. I thought it was worth posting.
Now, how do I put this post on the Quotes page?
There are two ways to control the placement of your posts.
1. Don’t make them posts; make them pages. Go to your dashboard, pull up the post with the quote. Copy the post. Now either “trash” that post (but keep the part you copied to your notepad!” or mark it as draft. Now, open “pages” and make a new page. Paste the contents of your notepad into the writing pane of the page. Give the page a name or–better yet–a number. Give it a parent page, probably “Quotes.” Hit publish and there you are.
2. Just keep adding to this post. You will end up with a very long post. Make it sticky to keep it at the front of your blog.
I think the page solution is better. :)TX
Thanks, Texanne! I’ll give it a shot. 😀
